  • What:
    • Introduction to "What is the Singularity?" and dinner discussion at Crepes on Cole

Who

Short notice so maybe it will be only a few but that's ok, we can repeat this one.

  • Tantek (attended the Stanford Singularity Summit, Vernor Vinge Singularity talk by Long Now Foundation, has thought a bunch about this and has a general interest in the topic area)
  • Jess (has familiarity with various Singularity models)
  • Daniel is down for this, but its a little last minute, non? Some other folks might be interested.
    • The Singularity happens on an accelerated time scale, thus this being last minute is meta-appropriate.
  • the mehrshad is there for the crepes, not the Futurism 101 lecture.
    • mehrshad, it's a discussion, not a lecture. would you like to contribute to the discussion? perhaps note some ideas or references below? - Tantek
  • Martin Sounds like a good discussion. Really short notice, I'll try to make it over there.
  • SarahMeyers
  • ... add yourself ...
Add yourself to the upcoming event page also.

Regrets

  • LianeBaskin would be there without a doubt if she didn't have prior plans; bummed to miss this one.
  • Carla: Date doesn't work for me.
  • JeffLindsay was interested but found out after the fact
